Country Recording Artist, Mikel Knight, Returns Home to San Antonio
for St. Jude Children’s Hospital Radio Station Fundraiser
Published Online December 18, 2014
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Country Rap artist Mikel Knight is known for being dedicated to community service, and today he is doing his part to get fellow San Antonians into the Christmas spirit. The ‘Country Rap King’ is back in his hometown working with San Antonio’s Country station, KJ97, for their KJ Cares St. Jude Children’s Hospital radiothon. Mikel Knight and his company, 1203 Entertainment, are sponsoring two hours at the station to help raise funds for the hospital.
“My heart and soul are with the community—whether it’s my hometown of San Antonio or where I live in Nashville,” said Mikel Knight. “I’ve always had the desire to give back and try to make a difference in peoples’ lives, and I believe that’s what we’re all here for. It doesn’t matter if you can do a little or a lot…just doing something can change a life. Our company is built on the principles of giving back and when it’s all said and done, that is our real gauge for how successful we are; who have I helped?”
Listeners can tune in to enjoy their favorite Country music hits on KJ97 and donate to a very worthy and important cause. During the Mikel Knight-sponsored hours, listeners who donate will be eligible for exciting prizes like a Mikel Knight download card, a limited edition mp3 player for anyone who donates $15 or more, and a brand new TV will be given away each hour—courtesy of Mikel Knight.
